Join the community and make an impact!

Volunteer roles include event setup & check-in, course volunteers, athlete buddies, swim buddies, and cheering on participants. Volunteers can indicate which roles they would be comfortable in when registering.

Our volunteers embody our core values of inclusivity, community, kids first, fun focus, and creative solutions to create an awesome experience and supportive environment where kids can shine.

Volunteers can expect a total time commitment of ~3 hours in the morning on the day of the event.

Volunteer Groups

Athlete Buddies

Each child is paired with an athlete buddy who is there to support them throughout the event - we call them athlete buddies because you will be best buds by the end of the event! This is the category we need the most volunteers!

Event Setup & Check In

This group helps mark the course, check in volunteers and participants, set up the community partner area and post race party, and ensure everything is ready to go!

Swim Buddies

Swim buddies are in the pool to provide support to each participant. Athlete buddies will communicate to swim buddies what distance the athlete is doing and what assistance level they may need.

Course Volunteers

Course volunteers assist with marking the course, cheering on athletes, and helping ensure safety at crossing areas and with pedestrians.

Bike Crew

Assist the adapted bike specialists in unloading and preparing the adapted bikes and getting our athletes set up on their bikes!
